Huawei P30 Pro Design and display
The Huawei P30 Pro is a slim large Android smartphone with an on-screen fingerprint sensor like that of the Samsung latest flagship, Samsung Galaxy S10. It has 4 rear Cameras which rivals the three rear cameras found o the Samsung S10. Also, just like the OnePlus6, it has a small notch at the top of the display with a 32Mega Pixel Camera. The notch is a key contributor to its increase in size. According to Huawei, the new selfie camera supports its Super HDR technology, which the Shenzhen-based company claims will preserve more details in the shadows and highlights – even when there is a harsh light source directly behind you. Unfortunately, this wasn't something we were able to test in our time with the device.
As far as the slimness is concerned, this phone is 8.4 mm slim and weighs 192 grams.
The device is powered by Octa-core (2.6 GHz, Dual-core, Cortex A76 + 1.92 GHz, Dual-core, Cortex A76 + 1.8 GHz, Quad-core, Cortex A55) processor paired with 8 GB of RAM.
Camera
Huwaei did make wonder ameliorations as far as the camera feature is concerned in this new flagship. One could say they completely rebuilt the camera system!
The Huawei P30 Pro has a new RYYB sensor for the main camera that replaces the usual RGB sensor found in most smartphones. By using yellow sub-pixels instead of green, Huawei promises that the new sensor will let in up to 40% more light than an RGB one.
The camera, unlike in recent P series models with an improved 3x optical zoom comes with 5x optical zoom and a 10x lossless hybrid zoom feature that uses the AI built-into the Kirin 980 chipset to sharpen up your shots and remove any blur from hand movements.
The new periscope zoom lens is the key feature of the Huawei P30 Pro camera, starting starts the 5x optical zoom. By combining that with additional data from the main sensor, Huawei claims to have achieved a lossless 10x hybrid zoom. The company is also touting a massive 50x digital zoom, although, obviously, you’ll take a hit in quality at that point.
With its AI feature, it is going to boost AI-assisted photography and helps better elements identification.
The P30 Pro can shoot video with both the main sensor and the telephoto sensor at the same time, and then combine the two feeds in a side-by-side view to give you different perspectives on the action. It seems a bit less useful than the rest of the things on the list, but it certainly shows off the technical capabilities of the P30 Pro.
Huawei is using a quadruple-camera system(Four rear cameras) that combines a 40-megapixel f/1.6 wide-angle camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a 20-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a Time Of Flight (ToF) lens with a flood illuminator. The latter is used to dramatically improve the bokeh-style blur behind the subject of a portrait-style photograph. With future software updates, Huawei says the ToF will also be able to measure objects and people from within the viewfinder, similar to the Measure app built-into the latest versions of Apple's iOS.
