Requirements to root your spd with magisk manager.
- Magisk manager apk. Get it from here
- Your device stock rom(PAC file)
- boot.img of your Android spd
- A computer
- Internet connection
- SPD UpgradeDownload . Download from here
- adb + fastboot. Get adb+fastboot
- A USB cable
Getting things ready for the rooting
You will find rooting with magisk very simple and easy once you follow this tutorial correctly and make sure to have all the necessary requirements. Below are the steps to be followed:
Installing adb+fastboot in your Computer
Getting things ready for the rooting
Install the adb + fastboot to in our Computer is no big deal at all. All you need to do is download the setup provided above, then run it with Admin rights.
Next, follow the installation guide in the command prompt window that opens by simply replying with "Y" and hitting enter to confirm.
Once you are done with the installation, you can verify by checking for the adb folder in your local disk C:\.
Once adb and fastboot is set up in your pc, proceed to the next stage.
How to get boot.img of your device(spd)
To get the boot image(boot.img file) specific to your device, you will need to have the stock rom(PAC file) of you Android spd device.
Once you have the stock rom of your spd Android, proceed as thus to get the boot.img;
- After downloading your device stock rom, download and run spd UpgradeDownload tool.
- Next load your stock rom to UpgradeDownload tool. You can copy and paste your rom pac file into the folder of the spd flash tool so that it will ask you to load when you launch the flash tool.
- Once the stock pac file loaded in UpgradeDownload, open the UpgradeDownload folder and locate the ImageFiles folder, open it and you will see all the different blocks of you spd stock rom pac file. copy the boot.img file and paste elsewhere(send to your device storage).
Once you are done with the above, you are ready to root.
Rooting procedure
Now once all the necessary requirements are available, proceed to root your Android SPD with magisk by following the procedure below;
Installing magisk manager and making patched_boot.img
- Download the latest version of magisk manager(link above) and install.
- Open magisk manager with your device connected to the internet. You will be prompt to install magisk, validate on "no thanks".
- Click on the "Install button" and select patch boot image file, then navigate and locate the boot.img you copied earlier to the internal storage.
- Magisk Manager will then start to download magisk.zip.
- Magisk Manager will download the magisk and then patch your device boot.img.
- Once it is done, locate the patch in the directory SDcard/MagiskManager/patched_boot.img
- Copy it to the adb folder on your local disk C:\.
Getting your PC to detect your device via adb and rooting
- Start by downloading this file;- adb_usb
- Extract and copy the adb_usb.ini file to the directory C:\Users\mobiprox man\.android("mobiprox man" here represents the username of your pc profile)
- Next, open the adb folder on your local disk C:\ and press shift + right-click to open a new command prompt in the adb folder.
- Activate USB debugging in your SPD Android; About phone →build number→hit o it until you get "You are now a developer"
- Next, go back and activate USB debugging under developer's settings.
- Connect your phone to PC via USB and type the following command
adb devices
- Grant connection permission from your phone.
- When your device is detected, you will see something like this
- Next, type the following commands
The first command reboots your device into fastboot mode, while the second permits you to confirm that your device while in fastboot is connected.
Command 3 will locate patched_boot.img in the adb folder and flash, while with command 4, you will get your device reboot and comes on.
If the process is a success, you should get a screen like this
